San Jose International Short Film FestivalAs the Co-founder, Programmer and Artistic Director of both the San Jose International Short Film Festival and its sister festival in Walnut Creek, Sinohui Hinojosa helps to deliver World Class Short Films to appreciative audiences throughout the SF Bay Area.
Together with Co-founder Bill Hargreaves, these grass-roots festivals begun with just a handful of films, growing to the four day festival that it has become today. Held each October at Santana Row, 2016 marks the 8th year in San Jose & the 4th year in Walnut Creek. |

Artistic DirectorAs the Artistic Director, Sinohui is responsible for the overall look of the festival. Working on everything from the flyers, to posters and creation of the Official Program each year. His creative vision helps bring each festival to life, from the presentation on screen to crafting new panels and filmmaker outreach.

Head of ProgrammingAs the Head of Programming, he searches for the best in short form entertainment, personally watching hundreds of films each year to select our World Class Short Films. He travels to other festivals, makes presentations on filmmaking and hosts panels and Q&A sessions during each festival.

Festival ProducerStarting months in advance of each event, he helps to guide the volunteers and support staff in creating the optimum overall experience during each festival. From managing all production and presentation media, to technical support and working on special projects.
