Sinohui Hinojosa
Content creator, storyteller and creative media consultant, Sinohui Hinojosa is the founder of Emerging Artist Productions, where he works as Creative Director with over 25 years experience as writer, producer and director working with clients that include Grosvenor Americas, John Muir Health and Yahoo Inc. Feature film work includes principal co-founder of Dark Harvest Pictures and the co-founder of the San Jose International Short Film Festival & the Walnut Creek International Short Film Festival. As an instructor and motivational speaker, he teaches digital cinema techniques and provides creative services to independent filmmakers. |
_Sinohui spent the first few decades of his career in film distribution and sales, at film markets & festivals selling to direct accounts like Netflix, Amazon, Virgin & Tower Records. As a filmmaker he produced and directed the short films "Pod Nation" (2005), "In Focus" (2006), the feature documentary "Scare Me: Behind the Scenes" (2007), the 13 episode web series "EXIT Stage Left" (2008/09) and Executive Produced the feature comedy "Cheer Up, Sam" (2010).
He co-founded the San Jose Short Film Festival (now in its fourth year), where he produces the annual event, managing the program and curating each film entry. Sinohui wrote, produced and directed a 30 min children's show for the CW44/Cable 12 channel in 2010 and produced "Trigger Happy" which screened at the Los Angeles Comedy Shorts Film Festival in 2011.
His most recent projects include "Dark Harvest" (2013) a horror feature that is currently in post-production and writing & producing television projects including Wocket Launch, EXIT Stage Left and 2 Drink Minimum. He continues to support Bay Area creatives by hosting the San Jose Digital Filmmaker Network with seminars, workshops and training sessions.
